Have you decided on a color yet? I think that the Le Mans Blue would look great.

I found your 250-350whp state interesting. I once drove a friends 500hp S13, and if you were doing anything other than going in a straight line the car was nearly undrivable.

Just got off the phone with my paint guy, he is taking a couple of days off of his normal job next week to FINALLY finish painting the 240. He's had the car for four months, but, what can I expect when it's a side job.

Looking forward to seeing this one come together. I have always liked these cars, but prefer them with the SR20 and not any other frankenstein creation. I'd love to do one too, but I had a S110 in highschool and my girlfriend had a turbo s12 so I might consider going really old school.

No idea, I'm a terrible driver when it comes to drag racing, so probably still mid 13's with me behind the wheel.

Really makes me miss my S14. Had an S13 SR20, stock t-25, FMIC, full exhaust, JIC FLT-A2's, R200 rear diff and axles off a R33 GTS-T, boost controller, etc. It was making 241 RWHP and it was quite a handful on Toyo Proxes 4's. Would easily break traction at 14psi with a hard shift into 3rd and was a dream to drift! A 240 with 250 could see low 13's. With 300 your looking at mid to low 12's. The 240s were never known for their prowess on the drag strip. They have been successful, but with a lot of work. They are more balanced and at home on a road course, or drift track.

Ok, car is getting a final once over before cleaning and primer tomorrow, then paint the next day, and clear after that. Here's how she looks after having the body work done and sitting in a body shop for the last 4 months, pardon the dust! He's swinging by my house tomorrow to pick up the CF hood so it can get painted as well.

Talked to my paint guy again today, paint is delayed again, he finally subcontracted the work out to the shop who's space he uses to paint. Said he had to finally admit to himself that he didn't have time to paint on the side anymore, month and a half late, no kidding he doesn't have time. It had better be done right. Says it will be finished this week, I'm not getting my hopes up...

^ wow that's unacceptable.

so far you're on the right track. you should look into having the paint shop respray your hood with 6-7 coats of clear, unless you keep the 240 in the garage.
