i understand where your coming from but i was thinking of even keeping the evo as a beater for the winters we get here..idk how an sti would be differnt both evo and sti have more in common than i would think (awd.inline4 turbo so on and so forth).and the c63 is to small for me for some reason the e63 is not to big and not to small its just the right size.plus my cousin has the c63 lol..thanks for the input and here have this one on me

a huge bmw fan here. have owned/leased two e46 3 series and an e60 5 series. i will always pick bmw over MB. but recently i don't like the trend bmw is going, too many non-traditional models have been popping up lately: 5 series Granturismo, X6, hybrids and soon a fwd 1 series and X1. i wish bmw can just stick with 3, 5, 7 and maybe X5 models, with M variants only on 3 and 5 series. i know it's how they make money nowadays but i don't want them to diluting their lineup too much.

Obviously gas mileage is not a concern for you it sounds. Any reasoning why you chose the E63 or M6? Reason I ask is the cars I would honestly consider would be these:

Lexus ISF
E90 M3 with DCT
Audi RS4
Cadillac CTS-V

All of them are cheaper, more reliable, and just as nice. RS4 has come carbon build up problems but not a big concern. I honestly would choose the E90 M3. Really a comfortable car, M warranty, better chassis and handling than any of the above mentioned cars and 414hp with DCT is not that much slower than the others either.

E63 or C63 are very nice but alot of car and TERRIBLE gas mileage. Very nice interior though but handling is so so. The other car might be worthwhile looking at is the new 5 series with the 4.4 turbo motor. Can get a M sport package and it makes it pretty nice and pretty good mpg as well for the amount of power.
I like it when people mixed the fruits from the fifferent baskets... Cmon mna, you are killing me here. Yes the C63 and the E63 get terrible gas mileage(I have the C63 and can confirm) but still gets better mileage than the M-6.
The M-6 is rated at 11mph city and 17HWY while the C63 is 12 city 19HWY.

You are bringing the 4.4 liter twin turbo but the OP never mentioned the newer 4.4 power M car, he is looking for the 5 liter V10. Lets be fair here.

For the OP.

I purchased a new BMW(335i and a new Mercedes(C63 AMG) in a span of 2 years(go and figure right!!?.
If you ask me about quality I can honestly tell you that both brands are bad as$, you will be happy either way.

I actually like boths, the E63 and the M-6, I also drove the E-63 (a 07' model) before I purchased my new C63 and I can tell you it is fast.
You don't have to tell me how fast the M-6 is because I already seen them doing 207mph stock, there is a couple of videos on youtube.

You are correct, the M-6 doesn't have much room in the back and it looks very sleeper when driven in traffic, it blends well.

You should consider other cool cars too like the Cadillac CTS-V , the M-3 sedan, the C63 AMG or even the Lexus ISF. I would rather snap the keys of one of the 4 cars that I just mention rather than the E-63 or the M-6.

You need to think of what you want because the two models that you mentioned (E-63 and M-6) are two real heavyweights and not as sporty as a M-3 which you can toss around.

As far is modding them, you can always do turbo and S/C on the Ms but can only do headers and tune on the E63 however a tune and long tube headers gives you 90-100whp extra on the E-63.

Good luck with your choice.

Oh yeah... watch this by the way!:

I have driven both of them. The M5/6 is great, but the transmission is a little different than what you may be used to depending. The E63 is a TOWER of power. That is the comment that I hear from everyone who owns one, too. They have this fire-breathing giant under the hood that can squeal tires at 100 or more MPH.

Are they both fun family sedans? Sure. However, the price-tag includes a long list of things that I have a problem paying for. For literally half the price, you could get a G8 (which is also a tower of power, and I would guess is equally as fun to drive) without the iDrive garbage, the wood-trim, and all the other little accoutrement that I just don't care about. But hey, that is my 2 cents.

(I would also always rather go for a brand new car as opposed to a used one. But again, that is just personal preference. I now return you to the previously scheduled discussion about two car which are merely subjectively different.)

My brother has a G8 GT and I wish he had the GXP. To stay on topic.Yes I agree with you. This car handles awesome for its size. Yeah it's not the status of a BMW or the prestige of the Mercedes but this car will out last both. They are reliable, get great gas mileage and go fast parts are great for price per $. I agree with you on this one. Its HUGE inside and it's very comfortable. Then you could go buy an awesome toy with the rest of your 60K lol.

My buddy is from Australia and he has explained how people use these cars for damn near everything! They're very solid and dependable.

But of course I'd rather have the M6 because it's awesome!

Then you can tell everyone. "Please don't dent, scratch, or lean, on my ultimate driving machine!"

I used to ride a 2006 Suzuki 750SV and my brothers G8 GT beat that bike on the high way. His has few modifications. Sounds to me like your friend had the V6. Cams alone in N\A form give the car 68WHP. That car builds serious power. If that thing is fully bolt on(Not counting a turbo) it should EASILY be over 500whp and I cannot stress "easily" enough. FYI this car is actually a Holden.

Can an M3 hold car seats? I used to rock around in an E46 M3 and I could never fit car seats in that thing for the life of me.
