Picked up my dream car on 12/24 as a christmas present to myself. It has 414hp V8 with the dual clutch automatic. The dct tranny is so awesome I will never go back to a manual transmission.





Still rocking the MR but now I don't care as much where I park it.

 

Yea the DCT is where it's at. 7sp that shifts super quick and has no more drivetrain loss than a 6mt. Very strong too. Definately been looking at them myself.

 

Looks great and I completely agree about the DCT.

 

I want the sedan so bad, but I don't want to sell my car & bike for one.

It looks so long from the angles that you took pictures of. Considering any mods?

 

I won't be modding this car. I think it's great car as-is and I've reached a point in my life where I just want to have a really good bare bones stock ride. All maintenance on this thing is covered for 100K miles including the paint finish and all I have to worry about is replacing the tires. Besides, I still have the evo if I have the urge to mod.

Interesting tidbit, the 2006 evo costs me $200 more to insure than the 2011 M3.

Congrats on the new ride!! I miss my E46 M3 a lot, almost sold the Evo for the E92 M3 last year, but decided not to.
