What are your thoughts on the WRX?
It's all good; and I just noticed you have a celica GTS also, so my question is so you favor one over the other? How would you compare the two, although it's like comparing peaches to oranges, or apples to lemons or whatever

Yeah, totally different, depends what you wanna use the car for, for drag and off road racing, the WRX beats the crap out of the Celica, for autocrossing, the Celica wins every time. The suspension is just so much tigher on the Celica, WRX body rolls a lot when stock. Also the transmissions on the WRX sucks compare to the Celica, Celica's tranmission feel a lot more solid. But if you do some modifications on the REX's suspension, the car will rock, AWD launches and the turbo feels sooooooo damn good. Here are some pics of mine.

I would love too also, but Integra's are the #1 Stolen Car in the US. And #1 in NY. My friend had a GS-R ...after 1 week it was gone.
My friend is getting a WRX in about a week or so. He is having a very hard time finding a yellow one.....
Insurace in NY from a pretty well known insurnace company is charging people $7500 a year for a person with a super clean record....pretty insane..

Mark,
I have been hearing the same from Subaru owners about the poor tranny (heard the response of shifting were poor compared to Honda/Acura). ALso, I heard negative comments on the seats/interior as well. I've searched for ITR's in the past, but there are only so many that are available for sale... Are you selling yours anytime soon?
What are your thoughts on the new ACura RSX Type S? Besides the issue w/ the fugly looking front (IMHO), would you consider it?

I like the interior of the RSX Type-R a lot, but I've never driven one so I can't really comment on it too much. Yeah, Type-Rs are hard to find, but I have a feeling some 2000s should be popping up hear and there since they made more of those than previously. Mine isn't for sale... plus I don't think you want one with a welded cage in it

I was VERY imrpessed.... I believe that car is a good bang for the buck.
Also, I cant get over the seats and how comfortable it was.

The new WRX is nice but I think the original WRX was better. The new WRX is too heavy and understeers like a fwd car. The suspension is way too soft and the clutch will go pretty quickly under hard use.
Also, never run the WRX on the track for more than 15-20 mins unless you have fitted an oil cooler (no, they do not come installed with one)

Just a correction I think one should not compare a WRX Vs Evo. It's more a STi Vs Evo. If MMC still made the 1.8 GSR then its WRX Vs GSR, course the GSR won't run a 1.8L if it need to compete with the WRX to date. Anyway who cares about Subbie.

Lee,
I know where you're coming from on the comparision, but I disagree due to the fact that a modified WRX CAN come very close to that of an EVO. This was proven here in the states if you were to pick up a Sport Compact Car magazine (July 2002 issue). I just merely implying the facts.
