Post Girlfriend wants a car

Hey everyone, my GF is looking to upgrade from the car she has now...1993 Corolla with 280k+ miles. DONT ASK X-I she got it before we started dating, but yeah she wants a different car now lol

Anyways, something in the price range of less than $4k, doesn't have to be too fast, but perferably decent looking.

Off the top of my head I have been looking at:

Lancers
Eclipses
Tiburons
Integras

worst comes to worse, she can get the same car with half as much milage XD but i wanna see what the community here has to offer. BTW central wisconsin is where i am at, but willing to drive anywhere in the state

+1 you cant beat a civic, but you could get a much nicer car for 6-7k if you can pull that off.

Definitely a Civic. Wife loves her 06 Civic EX, though you won't be able to get one that new for $4k. They tend to hold value pretty well.

Not an obvious answer but look into Volvo's. You can get a clean turbo S70 or V70 1999-2001 right in that price range. There's a great network of Volvo enthusiast for just about everything that could go wrong with it too.

So are you saying an x boy friend bought her the camry? And now she has you buying her the next car? Just asking, if so rethink that relationship---unless sges worth the 4k investment--somehow, it would have me thinking..just asking -- no malice intended.

*sigh*

No, I am not buying her a car. And no, none of her ex-boyfriends ever bought her anything that expensive. I mean, jeeze, I am 18 and she is 20. Are we going to start shopping for furniture and wedding rings next?

As for the guy who said i "couldn't find anything nice for under 4k"...I would say it is hard, not impossible. I have already found a nice '96 Integra, a '96 eclipse spyder, and a nice civic nearby, all affordable
