My EVO IX SE vs Nismo 370Z
So today on my way to work I saw a very exotic looking Nissan 370Z. Little did I know that it was the new NISMO version. I immediately fell in love. The car is gorgeous and I'm seriously tempted to sell my EVO and purchase the Z. The Z costs $40k. Thoughts??? Would that be a huge downgrade on my part?
nismo is like 46k, but that being said its very very nice. i used to work at a nissan dealer and they really blow my mind interior wise. leather wrapped everything, just smells so good. for 25k (after you get rid of the evo) its really tempting but if i was you i wouldnt. its not everyday pratical, 2 seats and the boot isnt all that. keep the evo and be able to drive fast all year with 5 people in the car

lol yeah I was just reading more about the Z (and also people's opinions on it on this site) and it seems to be All Show & "Not Much Go." I'm gonna keep my EVO! Thanks though man!
the Z is a good looking car, but I wouldn't do it. especially with the power you've got in that EVO. it'll cost you double (or more) whatever you paid to get that Z back to the power level you're at now, and if you're anything like me, you'll miss the power. i'm having withdrawls going from my 360-370whp EVO IX MR to my new stock EVO X SE...it won't be stock for long though lol
Those Z's are sexy, but thats about all they are. Not really fast at all. Sound good and look good, and thats enough for some people.
Kind of remind me of a catfish.

I got a 370z in on trade for an Evo X (not Nismo, but sport package with synchro-rev match)
customer was pretty reluctant to pull the trigger, but finally did it. I took a test-drive in his 370z after it was traded in - not impressed at all. Blind spots are massive, shifter feels goofy, uncomfortable, LOUD, so-so interior, and the synchro-rev match is such a gimmick
I was really disappointed. Now everytime I see one on the road, I just think to myself "how can that person live with one? I could barely stand a test-drive"

I'm curious how many people have actually driven one?
Test drove one a good 30-40 minutes a few years back (right after I sold my evo) and I really enjoyed the car.
Handled well (not evo precise) but no slouch, the interior was of good quality, and power wise it was more than I expected (I've driven a couple of 350z's before).
Stock for stock it's IMO a better car than any Evo we have/had here stateside, but of course any modifications put the Evo ahead in any power related category.

1) evo 9 SE > 350Z > 370Z
2) 370 nismo, is just ok, nothing to drool over
3) if you really want it, wait 1 year, Im sure Nissan will come out with some promotion or crazy sale, like my buddy did years ago with 350Z (got a $34k car for $27k, and nearly 0 interest)
