Got a little carried away with some polish

Okay so I decided to take a day off work and got somewhat bored at the shop and decided to experiment. First I wanted to do a little work to the old drift car to shine her up for the event this weekend, and then figured why not try an evo wheel tell me what you guys think just did a little it was alot of work and time.

The sand marks will come out with more work but I have yet to finish them. I would also do the whole wheel just experimented on the spokes.

OK. Did not realize the 'old drift car' was non-evo.

well I took me almost 30 mins to get it down to bear metal with a low 100 grit paper on my orbital sander. lol then I took my ziz wheel with a scotch brite pad then 320-2500 to get a decent finish plus then buff it. So I would estimate one wheel would take 6-7 hours from start to finish. The valve cover on the SR came out pretty good

yikes! wheels looks awesome, but I don't think I'd have that much patience to polish that like I polished my hood

got an extra hood. Basically, get the can of aircraft stripper ( the jar with the goop is better) apply with paint brush a few layers...let it eat at the paint, pressure wash it, and do it a few more times with the same process. Then wet sanded it like crazy, 800, 1000, 1400, went up to 2000...then polish it with a buffer. Still needs a bit more, but now Im wasting my time and money on rebuilding the motor lol.

I want to get an extra set of fenders too, to see how it looks like..

here's the thread
