Very cool

I've been considering an 5.3L alloy truck motor to put in my E36. Other engine I've been considering is a 1UZ-FE. HP/$ the LSX motors seem to be pretty hard to beat though for the ~400WHP N/A HP I'm looking for.

The video makes it seem quieter than it really is. It is not terribly loud, but not quiet either. Just somewhere in between.

You are quite the visionary! I just picked up an LS3 and a Pat G. spec'd Comp Cam. I should have some updated numbers soon after the latest swap.

Very cool. I've wanted to do a swap just like this in a techno-violet sedan for quite some time now. I didn't know another company besides Vorschlag made a swap kit. How much did it run you?

Thanks. All the kits are pretty comparable in price, but the Vorschlag driveshaft is pretty pricey. I saved a few bucks by piecing together parts from GM and BMW at a custom driveshaft shop.

The Samberg kit pricing is on their website here: http://www.sambergperformancefabrication.com/

I found a buyer for my LS1, and I picked up an LS3 out of a 2008 Corvette a few weeks ago. Still waiting on springs/retainers/cam gear/pushrods.
