I know the manager of sales and finance at my local mitsu dealership, and he said that mitsu is highly concidering disconntinuing production of eclipses. This is from the new age trend of Suvs. hmmm

Oooo, I have a great idea for Mitsubishi. Why don't they make the Lancer into an SUV, call it an Lancer Evolution and tell everyone the Evo is coming to North America!

Ha!

The best selling sports coupe in its class, the car that put the Prelude and the Cougar out of business, around 80-90K units per year, humbling the Celica and the RSX.

That's insane, what's this guys name, I'd like to call him!

they say they can make more money on suvs, and since there release evos theres no need for the, #1 most likely car to be drivin by women and **** stars, eclipse. I know the guy well enough to sell me an oz lancer with leather and low jack for 15000.

What's wrong with women pornstars anyway?

Doubt that they would get rid of Eclipse anyway. It has been a winner for them.

He may have a point. Look at Mitsu' current plans. Not only do the Montero and Montero Sport exist, the Outlander and the Lancer ASX are currently en route. A full line up of SUV's available to the public. Mitsu isn't going to play dumb and not jump on the bandwagon.

Correct. Albeit I'm not so sure any more if the ASX and the Outlander are one and the same...
