I think (you'd think I would know, lol) she's exactly the same height as you. She definitely has issues with the height. Sounds funny, but depending on what type of jeans she has on also affects her ground clearance also. This has more to do with low-cut and different seat types of jeans.

We're planning for her to get some nice riding boots and shaving the seat. Boots are just good to have for safety, the gained ground clearance is just a plus! I was planning on shaving the seat for her, but have put it off for some time. She's had a lot of friends (of all sexes and sizes) that started on 250rs so she's collected a lot of unofficial data and reference points. Between the boots and shaving the seat, we think she should do fine.

We decided against lowering the bike using links or dog bones. Just personal preference, but we didn't want to go that route without lowering the front to match.
lol I can understand the jean thing too, she's not alone. I'm too nervous to tweak with the suspension of the bike so I also think that shaving the seat down will hopefully be good enough. Maybe some riding boots wouldn't be a bad idea! Amanda and I are going to put trailers on our Lancers and drive our bikes to each other's house This 250 sub-forum can start with us!

Don't forget that you can dial in the bike's suspension and adjust the rear spring sag. I'd suggest doing it as much as your weight's tolerance will allow. This usually safely yields a smidge more clearance most of the time as well.

I've owned 6-7 sport bikes and recently owned a 1098 Streetfighter(great to look at but not so much to ride). I decided to build my own streetfighter for around town stuff. I picked up a 8K mile 2006 Gsxr-1000 took it to the track and ran a 10.3@137 and then took the plastics off, added a Scotts dampner and Dirtbike bars.
Afterwards, I went to the local 1/8 mile and still turned a 6.9@113 on a run. Its overpowered, lightweight and completely custom. The engine is near perfect with power from 1500-13000 and it shifts well. I'd go as far as say its been the best liter bike I've ever owned.
Here is a link to the build and some videos.

Yep. In the 1987 Robocop Murphy's death scene took place here inside the Bethlehem Steel Stacks. Also, Transformers 2 has a scene that took place here too.
