Did anyone else see "Rides" last night on TV documenting the development of the new Ford Shelby Cobra Concept?

They estimate it can go at least 190+mph with 0-60 in something like 3.5 seconds powered by it's 600+hp V10 engine. I would've loved to drive the mustang test mule they shoehorned that bad boy into.

I think the looks are alright, though I think a larger, more agressive front opening and large rear bulges would've given it an even more "Shelby" look. But it's still not to shabby IMHO.

What was the Shelby called about 7 yrs ago, the one with the Aruroa engine? Was that the series one? I cant remember and it is bothering me?

 

Yeah, I thought it was funny that he looks at the car and goes "we should have a drifting competition in that thing." And then the other guy goes "we know who'd win that... just keep it away from the concrete barriers." heh.

i saw it too last night, was trying to do some work but had to stop for the hour it was on just to see what they were doing... freakin sweet car.. exhaust sounds badass too... but I agree with it needing more front end exposure.. and not really feelin how the lights are there either
