What Car Would You Get?
I'd say Lancer even though I am a sucker for old cars. I think the reliability and comfort of the Lancer as opposed to the Camaro as your first car would be the better choice. It just depends on what your preference is because those are two totally different vehicles. Good luck!

You do know how biased this question will be on this site, but here's an opinion from experience.
I had an '89 Trans Am GTA (my dream car until I owned one), which seemed to be in excellent condition when I bought it with 87k miles on it. By the time it reached 110k, I had replaced the radiator, engine, trans, ECU, both pop-up headlight motors, trunk release motor, fog lamps, cigarette lighter, alternator, starter, and other little things.
Now I have a Lancer and have saved the money I spent on gas, repairs, and insurance (insurance costs less on a brand new Lancer than a 10 year old firebird) and used them for mods to make one tight ride.
The other question is what kind of Camaro is it? If it's a V6, not only will you be paying too much for insurance, but that car is slow to begin with. If it's a Z28, it's a fun and fast car but now you're talking about a really high insurance rate, especially if you're a new driver and under 25. There's my .02

if it's a v8 and you are guy who is mechanically inclined. go with the maro. but if you really don't know **** about cars and are trying to buy something that people think is cool, go with the lancer.

get a lancer, you may say its in mint condition, may look like it too but you never really know how "mint" it is under the hood, unless it belonged to someone living in your house, then you know the whole story. this could potentially be one disater after another if you get the camaro.

lol
