CTS-V baby! If you can afford it that's the supreme Luxury/Sport sex mobile. Mmm mmm. Beast and it drives itself. Gotta love technology lol.

Thing is, it's going to cost you more than you want unless you can find a good used one for a good deal.

+1 on the CTS-V. But not the coupe. 4 doors > 2 doors for a DD.

All those cars seem to be gas guzzlers for a DD, how about a toyota yaris . You can use all the extra money you save on gas and parts for the EVO!

Honda Fit, Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta. As you mention no real automotive criteria, it's what I'm going with.

Kinda what I was thinking, 10k will get you a nice camry. Great on gas, reliable as hell. What more could you want in a dd.

is the 10k-17k a down payment or the total amount you want to spend?? i drive a 1998 volvo s70 with almost 150k on it and i been thinking about selling my 600rr bike n s70 and getting a low miles s2000 but i dont know how bad the car will drive in the winter/snow "with snow tires on of course"

im also slowly turning my evo into a track car only and will be shooting for 9's next year ill be swapping out my fp-red for a hta86 t3 setup along with some other upgrade, weight reduction and e85

I was looking into an audi before I picked up my 01 camry a few weeks ago. I found nothing but complaints about how expensive they are for upkeep and whatnot. These were from the audi forums, guys saying they spend anywhere from 500-1400 a year on maintenance?? WTF?

Last thing I want is an expensive dd.

Cts-v: only if you like rattling everything. A few of my friends have both generations of them and everything is starting to rattle, door panels, dash....

S4: for $17k you will find a pretty higher milage car, it will break, be unreliable and have RANDOM electrical issues. It will be expensive to upkeep.

350z/g35: reliable but don't mod it, it'll get unreliable quick. In my opinion its very cheply made.

If you don't really mind the gas milage of all of those, look into a diesel truck. You can find a nice, newer ram 2500 for that price with around 100k miles on it what will serve you for 4 times that. I know it doesn't really fit in with the sporty dd theme but its a great dd and reliable, it will tow your race car to the track and back so that you dont have to worry about breaking. And not being able to drive home.

My personal opinion.
