Focus with Nos right out of the factory

Right out of the Saleen factory that is.

what do you guys think, the styling is sweet in my opinion, but I think they should've just used a supercharger to give the engine more pep instead of the Nos system, but cool nonetheless.

I thought the use of NOS is illegal on the streets.

So did I... I wonder if the Saleen Focus will be a mass produced vehicle, a limited edition collector's car, or an off road vehicle, because in some states N2O systems are most definitely illegal to use on the street.

The Saleen Focus pisses me off. From a performance standpoint it isn't special. It is "N20 ready" but the engine is all stock. Are you guys familiar with Roush Mustangs? Check this out. It is n/a but it has a different motor with much more potential than the SVT.

If that doesn't promote street racing I don't know what does. It's moderately affordable, and all you need to start gettin' illegal is a bottle.

And another thing, whatever happened to getting a car and building it up for yourself?

I wish my wife had that Focus instead of her stock ZX3. I would actually enjoy driving it then.

NOS is a great thing, but it definitely has its limitations. Do I use it? Not anymore, but the nicknamre has stuck with me. The thing with the Focus is that you can still build it up more. Obviously the engine isnt done yet as it still can use different internals and what not. Either way I think it is a cool car and commend Saleen for building it. IMHO I think they should have supercharged or turbo charged it, but I think they are trying to appeal to a certain market niche.

One of the guys on our Ford website looked at one of those at his local dealership, the nitrous wasn't hooked up. All the plumbing is there but he was told by the dealer that he would void the warranty if he hooked it up. Now, this might be a case of stupid dealer but there were some pics of the engine compartment on some eBay auction a few weeks back and it really wasn't plumbed in.

Sweet car! I like the looks alot! I thought it would have more horsepower displacement but if it's stock besides the NOS then it's understandable. They should've went with a supercharger! Wouldn't mind owning one.

Saleen = American Rice.

Aside from the S7, of course.
