Only works for people with midget feet. People with normal sized feet (like me - 13 extra wide ) must use the "improper" side-step method.

Best advice I read on heel-toe was "don't try and learn it"
If you force it you're probably doing it wrong or don't even need to.
If you're driving your car to it's limits properly you will suddenly start doing it automatically out of necessity.

That doesn't make any sense. That's like saying "don't learn martial arts, when you're getting your *** kicked, you'll suddenly just know what to do". Heel-toe is like anything other skill, it takes practice.

I agree, you don't just start doing something because it's necessary. You learn it and practice it.

I wish it worked that way

To be fair, the SRT-4 did it in reverse.

I don't know, what you're saying is like trying to get the best lap time when you've never even driven a car.
What I mean is knowing your car and it's limits so well that you can control it automatically without going into a corner thinking heel-toe. It just happens because it's what you need to do.

No, that's what you're saying. You're saying you don't need to practice a technique as difficult to perfect as heel-toe; when the time comes, you'll just know how to do it. That's wrong. Heel-toe takes a lot of patience and a lot of practice. Knowing your car means nothing. Heel-toe is a technique/skill, like martial arts, shooting a hockey puck, riding a bike, etc.
