Yeah, it turns heads. The 1992 I drove, well drove like a 92. Its an old car. For $20k you're almost to Elise ($25k). Much newer and more modern everything. Plus still turns heads and is more fun to drive.
20K for an Accord is not much of a steal for me.

Since when are E92 M3s notorious for breaking down?
The NSX will feel like an old car. That said jumping from an Evo you might not notice much different interior-wise.
E92 M3s will continue to depreciate. If you buy a 20 grand NSX you could probably sell it for the same when/if you get bored of it, won't be the same with the M3.

Keep in mind the NSX even the old 90s versions with the flip up lights are still being sold for somewhere in the $20k or so range. i believe the newer models with the flush headlights are even more.. i myself would love to own a targa top version of the car, but this car is the similar to the supra selling point wise. who ever owns one thinks their sitting on gold and asks a ridiculous amount for one
I would get the NSX over an M3 for many reasons. The main one being exclusivity. The NSX is a very special car. Not sure if many know all of the industry firsts the NSX had when it debuted. It was quite the technical achievement. It was the first with all aluminum construction, titanium connecting rods, variable valve timing, 4 channel ABS, just to name a few. It was also the benchmark for the McLaren F1 (as a livable daily driver super car). True story, look it up. Plus they are just gosh darn beautiful cars. Easily one of the best designs to ever come out of Japan. I'd own one just to have that cool slice of history.

Please find me a clean NSX for $20k. That would be a steal. A clean MY2000 will go for $40k. They only go up from there.

as far as the car feeling like an old car, well i sat in one for my first time and i didn't see much of a difference, this of course was on a newer model one, so it was better taken care of...exterior-wise, it doesn't look old to me...

when Gordan Murray praises your car, you know you truly have something special...
some more NSeX pics...

While I do like the NSX (especially their last generation) I would much prefer the Lotus, etc. I've driven the NSX, E30, E36, E46 & was never really impressed by any of them.
Or for a completely different flavor, I'd recommend a 3rd gen Rx7 in R1/R2 trim. I owned my R2 for 10 years & absolutely loved it. IMO and many magazine reviews of that time period, it's the Japanese sports car that has the most to offer in all around performance.

The NSX was the car to have in 1991, everyone dream about itt, it was very expensive. They still look great but they are very expensive and they lack on other stuff like torque, brakes and the used value is very high(bad for someone looking for a used one).
I like the second gen with the fixed headlights though. I think that I prefer the M-3 anyday even though I prefer the NSX on the appeal department.

$20K being the cheaper of prices i have been for that car.... as i said before whether it was in This thread on here or another, i love to own a NSX,Supra, etc but $20k being on the cheaper end for any of these cars and the prices go up. it would be ludicris to spend money on any of these in their age ranges especially if your looking to daily drive one. as others in this thread said before for the price range of an NSX you can easily get a newer car vehicle with similar performance.

it just comes down to funds and practicality.
