Just FYI, Ford has said they won't make a decision on the RS in the US until the ST has at least 2 years under its belt. Right now the earliest ETA for the Euro RS is 2015.

That's good to know. I'm fine with the ST. I think its the perfect compromise between performance and function. The mileage is great and hopefully some of the tuners will find some ways to eek out a bit more power.

SCT is the first to crack the ECU and their first tune puts it at 241 hp/315 tq (their stock run was 216/240). Limiting factor is the tiny stock turbo and the torque comes in wayyyyy early. Very early, though, and nobody has started playing with upgrades yet.

So I ended up ordering one of these over the weekend, will take ~2 months for it to get here unless there are delays. ST3 trim (recaros, leather, HIDs, MFT, etc - basically every option available except a moon roof and block heater) in Performance Blue. Am getting X Plan Partner Pricing, as well.

Congrats. That should be the perfect amount of time for most of the tuners to work everything out on the car.

Yeah, it'll be a few months after that before I have some mod monies. By then I figure that Cobb should be ready to launch everything they're working on.

The RS doesn't yet exist in the current generation. MSRP on the ST runs from $25-$30k. My hunch is that the RS, if it comes to the US when they make it, will run a bit more but not have as nice of an interior.

ST2 - Recaros, MyFordTouch w/Sync, Sony 10 speaker audio, HD Radio
ST3 - All the above, full leather interior, power adjustable driver's seat, HIDs + LEDs in housing, corner turning lamps, nav, interior ambient lighting, heated seats and side mirrors

Only options outside of the quick-spec packages are a moon roof and block heater.

Here is an update on the Focus RS in the UK

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ford/fo...-rs-get-350bhp

Pray we get this for the states. My bet is only the Mustang sees this engine. I wouldn't mind if Ford did a Fusion ST or RS with AWD and a 6 speed.

Nooooo, not another E-Diff

I'll be watching the RS. If it comes to the states for the right price I could be looking at trading up in a couple years.

i own an st. a couple pointers id like to make. it has electronic diff actuallys works a lot better then you would think so lsd not needed.

the one you test drove was likely limited. I drove one before i ordered one and my first impression was wow these are slow. But i didnt care because it was a daily for me. When my car finally came in and i went and picked it up it was so much faster then the test drive. Its a absolute blast to drive.

Very happy buschur is building parts for it. Waiting on the mounts (because they suck badly from the factory, lots of wheel hop and the exhaust bangs on the car), turbo inlet, CAI, exhaust, intercooler piping. i like the exhaust tone you guys made. would definitely change the tip im thinking though. Im really on the fence about it.

RS i believe will never hit the states. If it does it will be a little more power and still fwd. We will never get the awd version.

The previous RS was never awd. It was fwd and utilized RevoKnuckle and a mechanical diff to modulate torque steer.
