well when you hit the gas posi is always there. when your cruising down the highway its not locked. Every time that I have left tread its always spun both. it has electronic control to help with torque steer.

The car has some special things you may not know about. Car has a feature called hill assist and wont roll backwards for a few seconds to give you time to get moving. This being one of them.

Not all FWD cars will open diffs will do a one wheel peel. My Cobalt always spun both with an open diff.

Not a big fan of hill assist myself. Drove a few GM cars with it. Wasn't expecting it, didn't give it enough gas to overcome the brake, stalled. It's a weird feeling if you've been driving a manual for years.

IIRC the hill assist can be disabled and I plan on doing so when I get the car. I hate crap like that as it teaches you bad habits.

Yeah, I'm the wrong person to ask about that. I give 0 ****s about MPG, do mostly short trips, and do everything wrong when it comes to economical driving The MPG average on the info screen is currently at 15 mpg Car is rated for 23/32.
