I bet the 3 door hatch 1-series will look sweet, is the 3.0 litre inline 6 part of the engine option? let's hope so.

Here is some engine info i found:

Smooth, four-cylinder engines will be British-built with 105bhp from the 116i model and 120bhp in the 118i. A sporty 120i is tipped to make 200bhp-plus from a turbocharged 2.0-litre, but goes on sale a year later.

And like all BMW models, there will be coupe and cabriolet versions, including a motorsport-inspired M2 powered by a 240bhp four-cylinder; but that won't go on sale until 2007

She's not very pretty..........

I definitely expected more out of something as superlative-sounding as the BMW 1-series. Though I guess if you think about it, price and quality go up as the magnitude of the series does, 3 < 5 < 7.
