I have no regrets though. I thoroughly enjoyed owning what I -and I'm sure many of you- consider to be one of the best all around vehicles ever made. Sure things could have been better, but it is what it is...

Like I said before though, I'll probably get back into the Evo game at some point, but as it sits now I needed something more dependable so that the family has 2 vehicles again.

I'm gonna miss the hell out of the sound of a turbo though, lol. But the sound of the supercharger isn't half bad either...

I'll continue to lurk around here off and on, and chime in with helpful info when and where I can. I've been part of this Mitsu community for over 5 years now, and everyone has been a great help along the way. I hope I can find a group of people with as much knowledge and willingness to help over in the Benz world as I have seen here on EvoM.
Hey man im a benz tech over in pa. If you need some info like fluid capacities and how to's just lmk I can email you things from WIS its the benz version of alldata mitchell etc... the 4 banger's dont have pitman arm they are powersteering, and they are known for faulty engine harness' and a few other things but the good thing is your service intervals are pretty long 10k-13k depending on which service you do service a or service b ...good luck

I certainly can't fault your reasoning, it sounds like your Evo was in pretty rough shape. I also would not ever own an Evo as a commuter car. Hence why I drive a beater to the office, and the Evo on sunny days and track days. That being said, I personally loathe Mercs. I hate everything about them. I can totally understand wanting a more luxurious ride though if you spend that much time commuting. You don't need a ton of power or stiff suspension for that, you want comfort. Good luck with the new car!

Good luck with your new car. A friend has the early 2000's Mercedes turbo diesel and that car gets close to 50 mpg highway and it is pretty fun to drive. I was impressed with the torque.

Nice car.

I'm not big on German vehicles, but I may own another BMW one day.

Your Evo did look sweet with the ER lighting though!

Nice ride, be certain to keep up on the maintenance intervals. I too had a family friend with a C-class Kompressor that eventually ditched it from electrical maladies. The interior looks almost current, it seems well-kept.

I love daily-driving my Evolution. These cars are built pretty well and the key is finding one that hasn't been thrashed to hell. Good luck with the Merc and here's to finding a nice Evo in the future!

What trade-in value did they give for your evo?

very nice. I almost bought a 230 kompressor instead of my evo. Enjoy your new toy!
