LOL Yeah, this guy or girl can't drive very well. Going too deep into the corners, then again the Ferrari is not doing that well the whole time either.

I spotted that, too. Notice how much the camera car closed up on the other two under braking? The 550's brakes aren't much off the EVO's. For a front/rear config, the 550 wasn't pushing much turn-in. I'm thinkin' none of the drivers were Michael Schmacher.

Was this "open track day"?

FWIW.... the person driving the 550 was not the owner, and was a F3000 driver....

I saw a magazine article that asked the age old question, "What's faster, a Motorcycle or Car?" The motorcycle guys were pretty damn cocky, and assured of the win.... until the Radical showed up and made them crap there pants.
(Funny thing is, the Radical uses a bored-out motorcycle engine)

Try driving a 550 on the track and watch/feel the brakes go away on you! Heavy car with a lot of heat build up in the brakes and you end up with soft brakes/boiled fluid. Longer tracks it's ok at best but on shorter US tracks the brake fad is bad. I have tracked this car on several occasions and it has been the same both times.

The dealers tend to use Tutela fluid, which isn't the best for track days. I haven't experienced the 550/575 (yet ), but consensus among 3x8 owners seems to prefer a good DOT4 synth fluid (I use the Valvoline) with Porterfeld or EBC pads for serious braking.

The ALS results last year seemed to indicate that the 550 can be brought up to race trim.
