No way.

If a Skyline GTR, heavily modded one, that is, can't beat a McLaren F1, what the hell makes you think the Evo would?

Aerodynamics is a major factor here guys. The Evo just doesn't have as good of aerodynamics to allow top speeds of over 220mph.

There is a video of a Supra racing the F1 in the 1/4. Of course the Supra got raped.

wasn't there also a video of a yellow evo (?superlemon?) taking out a Suzuki Hayabusa? If that bike was ridden by a fairly competent person than a heavily modded Evo can certainly beat the McLaren - maybe not in a top speed run but up to a reasonable speed.
A Hayabusa does the 1/4 miles well below 10 seconds and unrestricted top speeds in excess of 200mph - all stock. for a nice comparison in same conditions check out Quarter Mile Rivals
-> McLaren is top in cars!!

if you put as much money into the Evo as the McClarrin cost then you could beat it in the 1/4 but no way is an Evo EVER going to beat the top end/top speed of the McClarrin its just not ganna happen.

The ND Evo set a faster time just a few weeks ago. It now officially does a 0-60 time of 2.69 secs.

Depends if your typical Hennesey Venom Viper has as much of an off-the-line traction issue as a twin-turbo LPE C5 Corvette.

I've seen a blown LPE C5 (supercharged and bored out, not even the twin-turbo beast) and it needed 12" wide wheels, and DOT drag radials just to keep it reasonable. With traction additive I could see spin being minimized, but that beast was putting ~500 to the rear wheels and he still had to finesse it to prevent infinite wheelspin.
