Question JDM civics?

Does anyone know where to go to get a JDM Honda Civic here in California?
Web sites? Dealers?

Why buy a a JDM Civic with the steering wheel on the wrong side and have to worry about getting it imported when you can buy a myriad of Civics currently available Stateside and do a conversion (i.e. a Type R conversion which is what I'm pretty sure you're looking at). Look at this month's Import Tuner...an oh so lovely Spoon Civic Type R conversion. Hell, King Motorsports is the only North American authorized distributor of Mugen accessories, just grab an EK hatchback, drop in a B16 from an Si or a B18 from an ITR and start getting your Mugen Type R (almost...) conversion on. Of course...with all projects such as these, they turn out to be more costly and difficult than anticipated. Ah...but when I get the money one day I will be more than happy to try.

So no sites huh?
I am looking at getting a 92 to 95 hatch, USDM. If I got one I would do a JDM conversion, motor and body. Then I thought it would be cool to have the real deal. I am just wondering how much $ it would be to import a civic here. I have found like 50,000 motors, but no cars. Oh well. Thanks ralliart and pjal.

I've seen Type R's imported out of the UK area for around $25 grand an up.. It'd be much easier like P said to just do your conversions on a normal civic over here in the states. Not so sure on this logic but I've heard civic CX hatch's are easy to do swaps.. Never read, or looked up to see if that was actually true..

I know one guy around here, he works at Tampa Hondaland out here in our area.. He has a white 94 CX hatch (i believe it is) an they come stock with a whole wopping like 85 - 90 hp at the engine.. Haven't talked to him for sometime but before that he was thinking about a b16 swap, an he already had a greddy cat-back exhaust system along with his AEM CAI, an exterior work.. rims, Stillen BK, drop, etc..

Good luck with your plans.
