Talking Twist my arm...

Look at my profile. Japanese police forced me to drive a GT-S to get my license back.

I wouldn't say that exactly seeing as the 240SX comes with a big truck engine while the Silvia came with the CA18DET and later, the SR20DET.

I wish the they would have just stuck to the original Skyline body. Have any of you seen the skyline "prototype"? That thing looks like a piece of **** IMO.

You mean the like 3 or 4 concept shots we always see. The only one that impressed me was the silver one that looked like a fish. LanEvo (yes, no spaces) posted it up a while back. There was also a green one that looked still very similar to the R34 and another one but memory is not serving me. <---to the now defunct RB26 and SR20's. Hopefully their replacements (VQ and whatever 4 banger) will serve equally as well. Mmm...Z car.

Oh, I just had to interject my usual two.

The 350Z/G35 uses a FMR format... broken down it's Front Midship Engine rear wheel drive. Which is to say that it's more over the front axle than in front of it, and that leads to better weight distribution. I think the current is 55/45 on the 350Z.

As for what the next GT-R will be, I've heard that a twin-turbocharged variant of the current V6 in the Z is an option.

Can anyone help me prove to a friend that a Infiniti G35 is a skyline..

A friend of mine says the G35 is not a skyline I say it is but not a GT-R. He proceeds to bet me so I need an article or something that proves me right.

I am assuming you are talking about the AWD G35? If so, the only thing that the Skyline and G35 share is the ATESSA-ETS AWD system. That is it, nothing else about those two cars are the same. So, your friend is right. It's not a Skyline. It's a AWD G35. If you want to get really technical, the G35 couple shares a lot with the 350Z, and the G35 Sedan (not AWD) was a new production car back in late 02-early 03. If you really want to know more, go to Infinity's website.

We are talking about USDM correct? Because there is no "Infinity" in Japan.
