What about the 60/40 weight distribution of the EVO, I suppose the AWD will save it from pushing in the corner?

Again AWD does not necessarily give an advantage over RWD cars in terms of handling.
well what about all the near 50/50 RWD cars, are they good cornerers? Under load, you're going to have to remember that a 50/50 car is going to become more like 47/53, giving the rear a good test of the contact patch. Im not saying that RWD is not good for cornering, but for what the EVO is, it definitely IS.

I would rather be in a car thats plowing than a car whose *** is chasing its face around a corner.

If you like bumpy ride and take quick corners and modifty it for more hp to kick some *** take the evo, if you like comfortable ride and still some torque get an r32 i belive its a nice car, i would pay 29k for it i bet its worth it i had vw jetta for a while and i loved that car- (moded) but too many problems with electrical and suspension so i decided to sell it - you dont see many r32 running around - so go with r32 :-)

Dude 60/40 is very different from 47/53... just like an NSX and porsche which is more like 40/60.. is different.

Does the lack of AWD on the NSX make the car handle worse? no.
The car is designed totally differently than the EVO.

There's understeer and then there's UNDERSTEER, luckily the EVO has mild understeer, compared to the STI.

DO NOT BUY THE VW!!!!

In the one year I had my 1.8 GTI it was in the dealer a total of
five months and VW bought it back.

Rattles everywhere, replaced two tranys (would pop out of second gear), neverending miss-fire issues (dealer replaced ignition coils FOUR times), would stall when ac was on, would not hot start, check light aways coming on, HVAC issues, replaced THREE turbos, MAF sensor (replaced three times), engine leaks, coolant leaks, idler pulley seized, instrument cluster and so on. All with less than 12,000 miles. My car was stock, **** I never had it on the road long enough to mod it!

The Mark III VR6 GTI that I had on the otherhand was a great car, it just some rattles but that was about it. I wished I never traded that car in for the 1.8!

My EVO now has 9,000 miles and not one trip to the dealer. All things aside I will never buy another new VW!

Good luck,
Winston

Wow, with that many problems, your car must've been built on a Friday before Christmas!

VW should've traded your car for a new one. It would've been easier, cheaper, and improved your customer satisfaction. I guess customer satisfaction isn't a high priority of many car makers these days.
