New upcoming "2000hp" American hypercar... Lolz

I'm all for an American company making a car that doesn't look like crap but seriously the idea their going to make 2000 hp out of a twin turbo v8 is a joke. The very on has 4 turbos for a reason. These guys would have to come up with tires, drivetrain etc to support this outrageous idea. We will see how that works out.

And they want it to hit 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Shhhhhh I guess they didn't know the gtr already did that with a quarter of the hp.

How is 2000hp out of a twin turbo v8 a joke? A couple of BIG snails and big displacement could pull that off.

You know how much turbo lag they would have trying to squeeze that much power out?
For reference the gtr alpha packages, let's say the alpha 12 is a tweaked 35r wheel. They manage to contain the spool because it is a twin v6 which lowers the displacement and spools quicker this v8 would be be somewhere in the neighborhood of 7.0 I'm betting.
For reference this car, which never even came out, was using a gas/meth/hydrogen/ethanol motor to achieve the same numbers and I don't think it was even produced in an engine form.

They also only wanted half a million and this new company wants at least 1 million per car. Sorry but I don't see this as realistic competition for something like the one:1

That's not enough. 5000 HP is the new standard.

2000hp out of a twin turbo v8 is really not that hard to do on race gas or E85. Hell they could build the car and use a nelsons racing engine.

How is 2000 so hard to get??? English Racing has over 1700All Wheel HP out of a TT 4.2L V6 the ETS GTR. Same goes for the AMS Alpha Omega.

Sorry but you're wrong on this. A 2000hp TT V8 is not as hard as you think.

There's always been talk. Just the companies don't care about making it happen. Who the hell would spend that much money on buying it?

2000 HP out of a TT V8 would be easy.

2000 HP out of a reliable TT V8 would not.

The problem is when you start talking about $1M exotics, you have a limited pool of buyers. The resources to make such a car, get it approved for use in the US, marketed, etc. are significant. There are a lot more dreamers than there are actual people with the means and ability to undertake such a project.

I just don't understand this push for huge HP numbers. Even if they do get to 2000HP, who's going to buy this thing... and for what reason?

Like many other supercar startups we'v seen, this will probably also fall victim to low funding and high competition.
