Good concept, IMO. Weight will be an issue, the Isuzu motor (Duramax) isn't light and they'll need a lot of cooling and emissions. Car would be more like a GT than a sports car probably.
Not the first time this has been proposed, Renault (I think) had something similar about a decade ago that obviously never materialized. S2000/Boxster S performance with 40-50 MPG capability. Slam dunk... or airball.
