2015 Corvette Z07 with paddleshift

 

Scrape scrape. Very cool

 

The 1/4 times are not too impressive. Auto one went 10.95 @ 127 and manual one went 11.2 @ 127. The MPH is super low for 650hp/650 tq IMO. The C6 ZR-1 did 11.1 @ 129 I believe with less hp.

Keep in mind the C7 z06 has a smaller blower then the C6 zr-1 and there isn't a lot of room for a bigger one to throw in there. I think full bolt on's the C7 C06 will have a hard time breaking over 140 mph on stock blower.

 

The yellow Z06 crashed at the Nurburgring during this test.

 

Paddle shift is a tightly wound slush box from all description. Why no twin clutch in a corvette ?

Doesn't this car weigh like +2-400lbs more?

Why so much hate for the Corvette? The C7 is done with much better craftsmanship than previous generations and is slowing getting out of the "redneck's cruiser" stigma.

 

Saw the Z06 at Petit Le Mans a few weeks ago. it was a prototype at the Corvette Coral. Its was revised. the carbon side skirts were removed. The aggressive splitter was also absent. I belive their will be different packages that can be added. It is a sharp looking ride.
