Reliable? It's as reliable as any other Ford.

Btw, you can always buy seats. They will actually be better than the OEM seats that came with the 2014 and earlier if you do.

What I really wonder though is, could you order the 2014 OEM seats (either from Mitsubishi or Recaro) and just put them into a 2015? There's a bumper to bumper warranty on the car, so they have to hold some seats back just in case. The base lancer seats might have different rails. Maybe ask the base Lancer guys if they have ever put the evo seats in a lancer and how they did it? The procedure is probably the same.

The new mustangs reliability shouldnt be too much of an issue, its a new car and has warranty. The 2015 GT supposedly got a faster lap time around laguna seca than the last models boss 302 laguna seca edition. The new suspension setup on the mustang is supposed to be much improved. I think the new styling of the mustang has really modernized it. Im glad they are going away from the retro theme everyone is doing. If I want an old car Id buy an old car.

One annoying feature they need to do away with is is that irritating chime when you get in the car, for that alone I couldnt own a Ford. That chime would drive me insane. Ive driven alot of new Ford vehicles, and they just dont feel like they have any soul or personality. I just as recently the other day test drove a fiesta st. It had decent acceleration and handling, but the car felt so sterile and bland. It didnt excite me like when I first got behind the wheel of the evo, or even my mr2. But I generally feel like this about most new cars nowadays. But thats a different topic..

Pretty impressive even if you take away the altitude correction

Here's how I look at it: I'm a fairly decent FWD pilot, better at AWD, and relatively little experience with RWD. Knowing my level of driving skill, our roads, and the inherent dynamics of RWD, I'd be slow as **** in a Mustang, and/or stuff the car fairly soon after purchase. No thanks. A Camaro? Great, if you like the visibility of a WWII bunker. Again, slow on the road. A Mopar? I have a Kia minivan with similar cornering prowess.

Most newer vehicles use the cars stereo system to output audio chimes. You can disable all chimes by installing the wrong kit. For example, install an amplified kit with a non-amplified system or vise versa. This does disable all chimes, including potentially important warning chimes.

Im not really into aftermarket sound systems. I prefer to turn the radio off and listen to the symphony of the 16 valves under the hood.

I like having Android in my dash... XD

Currently on the fence about messing with the X, since I have the SSL package. I'll probably just swap out the sub and go from there...

I'll admit, listening to the engine while driving fairly aggressively is awesome. But then you get onto the interstate and start going a fairly fixed speed and it gets boring. Might just be me there? lol

How, exactly, would one drive this car quickly? Granted, it's more usable than an Evo with similar power, but that really isn't saying much.

My best guess? In a straight line. Mustangs are good if you want to drag.

Agreed, straight line is the only option. The question is, how is this thing gonna hook? By the time it stops spinning its wheels, a Fiesta ST can be a block ahead. Power is nice, but it has to reach the ground. I just don't see that happening with ~950hp and a Mustang.

That car was boosted + spraying, wasn't it?

I have an evo now. Would never go back to a muscle car. I'd miss being able to go around corners.
Odd that you weren't able to go around corners in that year mustang.

How does a CT9A fare against an E9x M3? Because a 2011-2014 Mustang GT trades blows with the M3, I'm talking stock of course.

The mustang was the V8 convertible (rental). The camaro was an LT1/RS V6. Might have had something to do with it.

Part throttle and a little driver skill goes a long way. If you are able to floor your car and have no wheel spin, you just don't have enough power

Then what's with the 950hp? It's useless. That's the point.

Enough power for what?
