I bought one of my trucks at a time when gas was really high over here, like $4/gal. People looked at me like I was stupid for buying a truck then, but the dealership wasn't selling due to the gas prices so they were more than happy to cut me a deal on the truck. My bank account sweated it out for a couple of months with $90 per tank fillups but sure enough prices went back down and truck prices went back up.

I wanted to get a diesel but since I won't be towing anything heavy for a while I just ended up getting an 06 Tundra. It is a very comfy truck and I love driving it, but it gets absolutely ****ty gas mileage. If I do 75mph on the interstate I get about 14mpgs. If I drop to 70 I get about 16-17. Should've bought a diesel but when something breaks on them it gets expensive quick.

haha the gas price drop is temporary, OPEC is just pissed that Texas oil is a hell of a lot cheaper, stations that were using the Texas oil could buy it cheaper, like valero, so OPEC was like **** that, buy from us, dropped their prices so they could out sell or completely out do the Texas oil, just goes to show that OPEC really has just been gauging the **** out of us because no one could go against them.... that or we're buying oil from ISIS haha jk

I like those dudes who drive around in those F650's or whatever they are. They're like in between a F350 and a semi truck lol

I like this

Ask yourself will you constantly use a full size truck for its intended purpose MOST OF THE TIME (paying extra for gas and insurance along the way), or are you in need of a large truck to compensate for something

I vote getting a diesel hands down espically if you have plans of towing to Evo around to tracks or wherever. As for what brand, they all break and one is not better than the other. I work on diesel pick up trucks everyday for a job. They all have pros and cons... It's all about how much you wanna spend and what is available at the time you want to purchase. I happen to be partial to ford and built myself a 700+ RWHP toy that is my DD and tow pig.... I will say having a diesel truck is almost more fun than the Evo on the streets lol

New 1500 ram eco diesel all day! V6 Fiat based diesel engine with a claimed 28mpg and the nicest interior you're going to find in a truck, IMO. Or a lifted 24V cummins never hurt anything either....
