I have msn as my home screen and annoyed to read all this misinformation about the Evo that doesn't help the company. There used to be MSN autos which wasn't a good editorial page but very accurate in terms of comparing equipment per year model of different manufacturers. But it is now taken over by motortrend which is worse.

Meh, I'm inclined to agree with her. If these cars didn't perform like racecars, I wouldn't own one. The level of performance they deliver helps me put up with the high levels of NVH, and meh interior. I have an 8, but I've driven and ridden in several X's and don't feel they're really that much better..

The proper seat in the Evo is the driver seat. Riding in one doesn't qualify. Her points jerky shifter? That's improper gear shifting right there, releasing the gas pedal before pressing the clutch will make it jerky. Bumpy ride? It isn't a Hyundai, Kia, Lexus or Toyota. She probably doesn't own a BMW to compare what bumpy ride is?

I've ridden in, and driven them. The shifter is simply notchy, it is not silky smooth like a VW getrag or BMW trans. To me it was an honest review from someone who wasn't reviewing the car for its high performance attributes.

I agree, it's a honest review. Jerky shifter, bumpy ride and poor visibility are all valid points.

I think most performance cars would have these attributes.

And.......? Anything else can be said to say park it for those reasons? Any other review points when reviewing a car/high performance car? I got to drive the new California T, a F430, a supertrofeo stradale and the usual run of the mill Modena and all of them have the same attributes yet I did not say park it just because of these reasons?

I will say the California T has an improved acceleration and smooth shifting compared to the F430 and Modena and which is better left in sport auto mode. Bumpy but I expect that because it is not a base lancer but a pure sport exotic. The Modena have everything plus an affordable entry fee. But after going to the ferrari factory and its museo ferrari, proud ownership is attained whatever model you get.

Making the "park it" list was obviously based on her personal opinion, so don't take it so personally.

Not everybody wants to drive Evos all the time. Hell, I've owned Evos since 2004 and I hate driving them all the time. So I don't. It's for sure on my "park it" list some weeks.

Then why put personal opinion in a review? I used to have a CT9A Evo IX MR and after driving the X GSR it drives just like the 9. Driving the X MR reminds me of the Porsche 997 Turbo S. Put it in super sport and you think you are inside the Turbo S.

Did you just copy paste the same response to two different people?

Get over it dude. It was like a single paragraph review. You really think a potential owner is going to read a review like that and then not buy an Evo? I get your concern but man, move on to better things.

It's not like somebody slapped your kid in the supermarket.

Channel your energy to something worth while.

Maybe until you open your eyes or touch something.

It's supposed to be a multiquote reply. As for the Porsche 997 turbo S reply, I drove a new 997 turbo S and it is no slouch. Putting it on super sport like the MR mimics it though you know the 997 has more power on tap. As for channeling more energy to something worthwhile, I do that. This is just a hobby not my trade.
