I'll be all over the next Subaru Legacy

Man, I hope the current JDM subaru legacy makes it to the US in a few years. That thing has everything I want in a sports sedan. I love the TSX right now, but with options like the 2 liter turbo or a boxer 6 cylinder plus AWD, the next legacy (if it makes it here) will be a really good alternative to something like the AWD G36, for less money too. Not to mention this thing looks really good.

In japan, it comes standard with Blitstein coilovers, EL gauges... I can't wait.

Definately looks nice, but seems a bit too close to the WRX in terms of performance to make it here as-is.

It is supposed to be here this summer. Most likely with a 2.5 liter turbo detuned slightly from the US STi.

On the same note, I wish Mitsubishi would bring in the JDM Galant VR-4 to the US.

Yea, the new legacy and outbacks will have 2.5L turbo charged engines (250bhp/250lb-ft). It is real nice. Is slated for a June 2004 arrival.

Any word on the cost? Seems like this would be a good competitor to the new TL.

Price should be around 27K for the 2.5 turbo, and it is set to compete with the TSX, Saab 9-3, Lexus IS, etc..

Wow, that's better than what I was expecting. I thought it would square against the TL in the 30K range. This thing is looking better and better.

The engine has plenty of potential for tuning. This is much more attractive than any of the FD sedans out there. I wonder if they'll bring over the boxer6 sometime.

IF the engine was same as sti's engine.. but a little detuned.. i think i might trade the evo in for the car since i kinda like a little more luxury than pure sports car

The Legacy Turbo engine will essentially be the same as the STi engine except it will have it's own unique cylinder block, turbocharger, and intercooler.

From some of the pictures I've seen, the intercooler seems smaller, like the one on the regular WRX. So maybe they're keeping the turbo smaller to reduce heat and maintenance overhead.

I don't want a turbo SUV, I want a turbo sports sedan. I'll wait for the Legacy, new style and much more refined interior.

The Subaru press relesase says it'll be called the Legacy 2.5GT.
