Might buy a GTR!!
So I looked through both threads and Congratulations on an awesome purchase. But the elephant in the room is cost? is it on par with a usdm used gtr with same mileage? lower or higher?
u have to be happy with what u want and not worry about everyone elses opinion. i guest I'm just old. either of the choices for vehicles though are great. the gtr and the evo9 have always been my top cars to own, now that i have the evo I've been putting crazy money into it and haven't had the time to put anything on cause I've been working so much. congrats

Thank you guys! I'm in love with the car and the color is just amazing in person.
It had even lower miles than I expected 10.7k after the conversion.
As for the "elephant in the room" (cost) It wasn't anywhere near the 62-65k NADA/KBB after tax's/duty/fees. It was a very fortunate find at the perfect time.
I plan to keep it for the rest of my life.
Anyone can accomplish this that's for sure, you definitely don't have to be making 100k a year.

then again, I never had a GTR
no it wasn't sorry man i didn't even read what you wrote lol. i was just saying that cause i had this dude as a friend for years who was always hating and being so opinionated when people have to do what makes them happy. thats just me, can't worry about what the next guy is doing.
The GTR Tax on everything related to the car is not a joke but I'm going to try and go the smart route...I'll let you know how the maintenance cost goes if you want.
I'm definitely going to do the brakes myself....asking 2-3k lol I looked at a video and it looked just like the Evo x MR two piece rotors so I'm hoping I can do that.
The car came with Front endless brake pads, some gtr fluids and I ordered rear endless pads/grease.
I'm thinking Yearly cost is going to be right around 2-3.5k depending on what the schedule calls for. I'm going to need new tires soon so that's an added 2k.
But I think it's not too bad vs the evo. At least from my research on GTR Life.
Next year I'm sure they will be some around the mid-high 40k mark.
I'd pick one up honestly....It's incredible nothing is overhyped about it.
Only down side is if you want more than 550 you're spending 8k+ on basic mods.
