^thats halo even for an s2k... stock weight is 2800. I don't think there's 600lb to even take out in an s2k and still keep it drivable. maybe if strip it to the shell and take off doors and glass and everything

Sweet ride! Mod potential of these looks promising, wonder how the tranny will hold up over the long run. If only you could get it with a stick, it would be perfect.

Lose the convertible top contraption and get a hard top. If I had kept the AP1 that's the route I would gone

i test drove one of these and honestly it was disappointing for the price

you're better off getting a base model s4 with the supercharged v6, my 2011 s4 ran high 11's all day on pump gas and the interior was much nicer than an s3

a completely stripped with roll bar s2k is around 2350. thats everything gone, even the dash... go get down to 2200 you gotta start replacing parts with carbon fiber, like doors and trunk and stuff like that... but you really shouldn't have carbon doors without a cage with side protection (unless you're ok with dying), so thats weight back in the car...

I want to like the S3, but its only an auto. I test drove a newer S4, but the supercharger didn't excite me like my Evo turbo does.

Guess i'm not ready to upgrade yet.

The S3 is on my short list of possible future cars. The other one is the CLA45. Did you have a chance to drive one and compare? I know it's a more expensive car, but used they are selling in the upper 40's.
