I'm so jealous... I've been looking at vids from that track for years now... it looks so fun!

are there any local companies that will rent a car to take to the track? A friend of mine moved to London recently and I'm thinking I wanna do a track day there if I can find a car...

I recently met Gary and had some work done at his shop. I've been out of the EVO game since moving here back in 2008 but I'm back in it now. It's nice to have a shop nearby.

Yes, check out the track you want to do and they will usually have a car hire. Best bet is to check online first.

Why would you need a LHD car? It's not hard to adapt to RHD. I did it the first day in England. And I currently drive both RHD and LHD daily.

its a little different if you at least have a chance to get used to it driving on the street... I'd basically be going from never driving a RHD car to driving a stick on the track... I don't wanna be learning to shift with my left hand on the track, and I'd need to be heelntoe'ing... that muscle memory is worked in with shifting with my right hand. I guess if its a flappy paddle car it'd make things a lot easier

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it at all. The only thing changed is the hand you shift with.

like I said, going from never driven a RHD manual car to driving one on track is not something I wanna do. If I have a month or so of street driving to get used to it, sure... but jumping in cold is not a risk I wanna take. ofcourse if I find a flappy paddle car then I think I'll be ok for RHD on track.

it may not be a big deal to you, but I'm fairly sure it'd be a big deal to me
