Question Callaway Corvette AeroWagen

http://www.autoblog.com/2016/04/05/c...agon-official/

Three years after Callaway Cars first showed off the idea, you can finally order the company's AeroWagen shooting brake conversion for the C7 Corvette. Unfortunately, the work to add the longer roof doesn't begin until the fourth quarter of this year. The package is available for the standard Stingray coupe, Z06, or Callaway's highly tuned 'Vettes.

The new roof is a single piece of carbon fiber and uses the original seal, hinge, and latch mechanism from the stock hatch. Because it retains the standard parts, customers can revert back to the original component if they ever want to, but we're not sure why they would. The removable panel over the front seats still works to enjoy open-air motoring. According to Callaway, switching to the new roof means more cargo room and a slight drop in the Corvette's drag coefficient.

Other details about the AeroWagen are light at the moment, but we are working to get in touch with Callaway for more information. The company's website doesn't mention a price, it said the AeroWagen conversion cost $22,995 as of October 2013.

The AeroWagen gives the Corvette a sleeker look, and the extra cargo space might be welcome to some drivers. The images suggest the massive rear pillar and small window could constrain rearward visibility, though. Next, the company needs to fulfill it's 2013 April Fool's Day joke of the AeroWagonette to let you tow extra passengers behind a 'Vette.

It's almost uglier than the Ferrari FF.

I wouldn't do it personally, but somebody out there who wants to be unique or has to have more cargo in their c7 vette is gonna buy it
