=) I love Vipers too and I was amazed how cheap an ACR is coming to the market. Ridiculous performance for that money.

 

They look nice, just suck to work on the electronics...

 

Love the ACR I do!! I heard the medieval knights, fully armoured, were weighted over a ton. Now this ACR's downforce is about to become as cool as knights.

 

Awesome car. If only I had the money.....

claims to have beat the 918 at Laguna by 1.24 seconds? I wonder if track conditions where similar? If so that's impressive.

 

something that gets overlooked a lot in discussion about track special cars like this is tires. the ACR has Kumho V720's, thats pretty much a hoosier except street legal (are hoosier's street legal? I don't think so). if you put a tire like that on the 918 the out come would be a lot different...

its kinda the same thing when the Z28 came out, everyone was riding their ***** about how fast it was around a track and that it "destroyed" a GTR around a track in that one Motor Trend test by like .2 seconds or something...

If you put near slick tires on a car and give it spring and damper to handle that grip, its gonna go fast, its a really simple formula. what makes cars like the 918 and P1 and the Ferrari The Ferrari so special is that they put down staggering laptimes with real street tires.

not trying to say the ACR isn't an awesome car (and the Z28 for that matter, I was blown away when I got a ride in one at the track), but lets give credit where credit is due, its the tires. and people barely ever bring that up, they'd rather talk about the 1 speaker that the Z28 comes with then what actually makes it fast...
