There's definitely good engineering in that Alpha chassis.
If a manual is going to beat an auto - wouldn't it be a huge torque, long-geared, nlts, auto rev-matching manual be the one to do it?

Pricey, but looks damn good. I think GM finally got the styling right with the new Camaro's. The previous generations didn't look that great to me, but this I would drive in a heart beat.

To put that in perspective, Nissan paid 2.3 Billion for 34% stake in Mitsubishi. So the 50 Billion could have bought Mitsubishi motors outright 7 times over. I think Mitsubishi's hope of ever gaining market share in the US is all but crushed, unless Renault-Nissan makes a similarly large cash infusion.
