are the 2.0 wrx the same engine as the japanese sti engine?

about the only thing the same is the fact that they're both 2 liter engines. the JDM STi has different internals, i believe. and a six speed, some other junk too. can't remember everything.

um actually the STi is a 2.5 and the regular WRX is a 2.0 liter. So the STi is 300 Hp but it has half a liter on it.

The US WRX STI is 2.5 The Jdm is 2.0 liter to keep it similar to the WRC machine
