I'd just revert to driving my 1998 GSX all the time.

The VIII is my track car and the most likely replacement for that would be an R35 GT-R. For the X it's my DD so another DD type car like the S4.

1971 or 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Not something that's too nice...something that I can modify to my heart's content and no one will criticize "oh, you ruined it/should have left it stock". The Evo's awesome, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't give me "the fizz" that I thought it would.

I plan to keep mine and eventually just use it for the track. For DD replacement I'd like to either get a R34 or 1990s NSX (so I'll probably not be replacing it for a while...haha).

I thought about trading the Evo for a Corvette C6Z06 but then I kept the Evo for winter and got the Z06 anyway. Perfect setup for Summer/Winter. Softened the dampers on the Evo and put a quieter exhaust back on, now it's perfect for DD.

To answer the question, Evo is better than most cars, but if you had to get something different never hurts to go RWD with some power. Viper, Vette, Porsche, etc. Anything less though and the Evo is probably better. In a lot of ways the Evo is STILL more fun than the Vette.

Daily a NSX? Awesome.

Hard to see you parking at Walmart and getting door dings though.
