Fiesta ST?

They only come in 6 speed.

I love mine, on my second one. You can find my Fiesta ST thread somewhere here.

Lack of LSD is the only bummer but honestly there is like no torque steer and if you tune the car right, it hooks up pretty well.

Weird cause I was on fords website and it gave me the option for a 5 or 6 speed...

I'm also a bit confused are they AWD or FWD?

Normal Fiesta offers a 5 speed.

They are FWD.

"It seems very likely that the party is over for one of the most fun and affordable hatchbacks on the U.S. market, the Ford Fiesta ST. The current one, soon to be replaced by a new Fiesta that America probably will not get, puts out about 200 horsepower and has a starting price of around $21,000. With rebates and discounts, now you cheapskates can get an even better deal."

I've been reading threads about Fiesta ST Carbon buildup due to DI. It seems that the issue may be less than feared (or experienced on other cars) - and, can be solved via walnut blasting.

Should it be considered as part of a LT maintenance schedule?

Very common in all GDI engines as the fuel doesn't hit the back of the intake valves. Just had a motor taken apart in our community and at 30k the intake valves were completely carboned up

There are many articles on LSPI and some preventative measures to take to try and keep the motor as clean as possible such as Dual OCC with breather not recirculated to the intake tube, LSPI Specific oil (I use Motul 8100 X-Cess in my car 5w-40 flavor), Hyundai recommends Fuel System Cleaners (I use a GDI Specific one) at a 3,500 mile OCI, and a Tech bulletin went out to use a 5w-40 over the 5w-30 that comes factory fill. In articles posted keeping IAT's down is also a huge plus for GDI engines.

CRC now makes a GDI specific Spray that many have been pulling their Intake Manifolds and Valve covers and cleaning valves up that way too.

Have also hear of walnut blasting but that is if and when reusing components that have come apart in our case guys have sent out their heads to get that treatment done prior to rebuild

I'm considering getting one now that I've heard they will discontinue making that car. My brother has one and that thing is always in the shop for warranty work.

Really? I think that is possible with any make/model. As seen with Evos as well.

I've had two different Fiesta ST's over the span of three years with zero issues.

Ok, finally some clarity...

Ford has 0% for 60 months or $3000 cash back (for non-idiots) on Fiesta now.

Oh, and I'm convinced that the clowns that order stock for the dealer lots are stupid.

This past month his car has been in the service department for overheating issue. The dealer has given it back but it continues to happen. He dropped it off yesterday and I was with him and the rep told him the part they needed to fix his issue might take up to 6 weeks to arrive. He has about 6k miles on a 17 year model bought new in Jan.

The local dealers here only have Black, Charcoal Grey, White to choose from. I'm not a fan of those colors.. I'm seeing great deals on them and my daily driver was stolen last week and might be in the market for a new daily.
