So the new Sti Type Ra is selling for 50k which I think is pretty crazy since its the same engine since 2004, only 5hp bump in power and weight savings of 68 lbs. Video below explains details:

Lol, what's wrong with Engineering Explained? I think the dude is pretty knowledgeable and gives out good information.

every single video I've seen about subjects I'm familiar with, he always leave out 1 or 2 very pertinent bits of info, which can (and often do) end up being misleading. so this makes me wonder what he's leaving out when talking about a subject I don't know... which lead me to kinda hating on his channel

here's a prime example of why I don't like this guys videos. to the lay person he come off like he knows what he's talking about, but to people that actually know stuff about cars its just annoying... he didn't even come to the right conclusion at the end of the video why his results didn't match SOS's or make sense from an engineering standpoint... I never went to engineering school and I'm pretty sure I have a better grasp of most engineering concepts than him. I try to avoid his videos, but sometimes the title sucks me back in, and I'm always disappointed... well at least he doesn't do clickbait titles...

Have you ever seen him drive on a track? Tentative, out of sync, Just horrible (we're not all experts, to start, but to air it out on YT was embarrassing)

Makes a ton of money, doing what he does

yeah I saw his track vid at a corvette press event, he was grabbing the steering wheel underhand...

most people that manage to get successful on YouTube are typically pretty good at what they do, this guy is on the lower end of mediocre... he couldn't cut it at a real engineering job so he somehow managed to become successful on YT...

The most damning blow for the RA is probably the fact that all 2019 STI's will come with the same upgraded internals as the Type RA, and there's a performance package option that gets you the Bilsteins.

The only thing "exclusive" to the RA is . . . the CF roof and wing?

Hell, the regular 2019 STi will let you get new bigger brakes in silver instead of that stupid neon green

so just skip the wait list or markup and reserve a 2019

I'm not sure why people are even buying 2018 or 2019 STIs rather than waiting to see what Subaru has in stored for the 2020 STI. To my knowledge, the upgrades they've recently made to the STI actually has made it slower.
