S209 STI $64k for a Subi...
Never heard of this model. Is it something new? Asking $64k for something that has less than 400hp seems a bit crazy. Is it really that good? I do like that its wide body.

Isn't this the first time they've brought the S20x to North America? They are slightly improved and hold their values well. Whether you get what you're paying for is a different question.
^ low production numbers dont really matter for a car like this. not enough sets it apart from regular wrx sti's. subaru does this with their entire wrx line and i dont understand how people go for it.
How much do you want to bet that they are going to receive a dealer markup since there are so few of them. These things will probably be selling for $80k.... somehow.

People will pay $20k for a high-mileage, 12-yr old Japanese sedan. They will pay $20-30k for for 25yr old Japanese rust bucket coupes. I have no doubt Subaru fans will buy this car. Like we always say: cars are an irrational purchase, especially for an enthusiast. We'll almost always be willing to pay more than something is worth.

yea the difference is Mitsubishi is a much more modest company, compared to subaru who markets like crazy and has to put an sti badge on every square inch of their cars. Honestly I don't know who ever started the trend of comparing subarus and evos, they are worlds apart. Not trying to say any one is better than the other its just I can think of many other cars to compare the evo with before a subaru.
