Bought my Dream Car. So long evo??
New to me 2010 Grand Sport Corvette
The Corvette has always been a dream car of mine, I was able to find this low mileage grand sport locally. It has all the features i wanted and its a manual trans. Has waay more power than my evo, but i do not intend to track it, maybe just a few times to the drag strip. If some half mile events come up locally, id like to do that. Otherwise, its my next long term car, i hope to keep it forever. Key word HOPE to lol. Ive had it about two months and I absolutely love it. If I end up selling my evo, i know i will regret it, but this Corvette is more than worth it for me.
Very clean interior
LS3 with Dry sump oil
The evo 9 has always been my dream car so my opinion doesn't mean much
but nice find bro, not a fan of the new "wana be lambo" look but always liked the earlier corvettes. If its financially possible however my opinion would be to keep the evo, cash is common as ocean water but they aren't making any more evos!

Thank you!
Yea, fair to say that about the C8 lol, i love it, but still love the C6 over the C7 and C8. Well, If i keep the evo ill be in a tight spot. I really do want to keep it, but i had made a deal with the wife to get her a different vehicle. The good thing is the Vette is the only car payment. We'll see.. I want to try to find a balance between smart financial decisions, and want vs. need. Ive owned my evo 14 years now, so its more emotional attachment than actual value.

Yessir, it has an ECS 1500 kit to be exact. Has meth injection, long tubes/full exhaust. Its quite the handfull. I have yet to get comfortable with the power haha. I believe its at about 9lbs of boost according to the gauge.
It drives like stock when just cruising. Gives me about 27mpg highway, and it has the corsa sport muffles so its quiet while cruising, but gets loud at WOT.

Great question, one that I kept asking myself. I love the evo, dont get me wrong.. but i got an idea from someone on this forum. If possible, buy the vette while i can still keep the evo and see what car i gravitate to. Ive had both for over 6 months and i always seem to grab the vette keys. I try to find any excuse to drive it. The evo is awesome, but i absolutely love my vette. The only thing ill miss is awd traction. My vette is brutal putting down power and just roasts the tires if im not careful. But its a compromise im willing to live with.
The two cars are similar yet different in many ways. If I could afford to keep both, i totally would. But i have a family and cant get rid of my tacoma. So i have a buyer lined up to buy my evo. As soon as i give him the word, itll be sold. I know ill miss it, but its going to a friend, so theres a possibility i may be able to buy it back in the future.
So long story short, i have no regrets replacing my evo with my dream car. Only good memories. My goal with the evo was never a huge power build, but only to have a fun and quick reliable 4 door. And im not sure ill ever have another car good at so many different things.

I wanted to update this thread to say that I did end up selling my Evo last week.
15 years of ownership. I never thought id have the car that long when I bought it. I have lots of great memories with it and Im not sure that ill keep another car that long.
I would have loved to keep my evo longer, but life brings different challenges. I felt i needed to move on, even though I didnt want to. I definitely miss it, but I am glad it was my choice to sell it and be able to replace it with my (realistic) dream car.
