Would a slightly modded Evo win in a race against a pretty much stock 03 cobra? im talking about 1/4 mile or from 0-90 and why?

you said a pretty much stock 03 cobra. It would depend on the mods. If he just has a new pulley and a 3" exhaust, I would bet that you would lose. Ford underrated those cars by quite a bit. Most of them dyno at around 390 at the wheels instead of the crank.

 

I raced a stock one from 0 to 80 I beated the cobra but he tried to race me from 35 to 90 I was sure that he will beat me so I didnt race him

 

My '03 Cobra stock ran almost as fast as my black Evo with all the mods listed in my sig (and on the site). From a roll, it was almost dead even. When I put a Borla exhaust, 2.76" pulley and CAI, it would have been no contest.

The Cobra's are pigs, but they are stinking fast pigs.

No, they run 12s. Stock Evo will lose to an '04 Cobra. Cobras trap up to 10 mph faster in the 1/4 than a stock Evo.

 

I think cobras sound nasty with the supercharger. It sounds like baby whinning. haha.

They run high 12's but with a few mods on the EV0 it should be a close race

 

an evo and a cobra owner? well there goes the import vs domestic hater.. haha.. now all you need is an exotic. haha or an SUV

 

I suspect, however, much different results on a road course.

 

with a lot of turning, and barely and straight lines, the evo should out run the cobra.

seriously, the cobra has bad handling. Ask him to go somewhere with some curves.

 

My friend ran his 2003 cobra at the track last year and he's only dragged twice in his life, but he managed low 13 second passes. Imagine if he really knew how drag.
