UPDATE!!!

Almost sealed a deal on an 04wrx today, only a few probs. First off the dearler that had the car wasnt a subaru dealership it was one of those assorted used lots, and i asked the guy alot of questions about the car but when i viewed it was in sort of a shock. First off, i asked if the car was stock, had any race abuse, warranty was still on there, clean looking, interior/exterior clean and from factory and he insured me everything was perfect/fine. Went today, view the car and inside theres an aftermarket boost guage in there, also theres a new short shifter in there (forgot the company name), tires had lost about 40-50% tread, also there was an AEM CAI on there, intercooler had some abuse and there was bugs in there (eww.. haha).

The car was going for 20k & change and it has 14k miles on it. I read alot of info about how a CAI isnt the best thing to do on a WRX, it can actually hurt the performance. Also i dont know how suby does things, but im hoping the CAI doesnt void the warranty, because i really want the factory warranty on the car still. Some dealerships dont car, but some will and thats one of my probs. Also the stockbox didnt come with the car, sucks. When i was looking at the car, i can definetly tell the kid raced it, the guy told me he didnt, i said look man... tire tread is almost half gone, theres a CAI and an aftermarket boost guage, it was def raced. Anyways, im not sure if i want it now, but its the only 04 in my price range. Im gonna give it some thought for a week or 2 and find a decision. They offering me about 7500k to 8k for my lancer which i was def surprised, still ill give it some thought.

I'd recommend not getting it.
A raced WRX is a problematic WRX in the future.
