Jet Hot Coating - any thoughts?

OK, I want to get the headers coated for my Camaro. Buschur has a place that does a regular coating for about $100 a header. My dad suggested JHC, as it is supposed to lower engine bay temps and add power, etc.

Does anyone have any experience with it?
How much does it cost?
Is it worthwhile?

If anyone was wondering, JHC emailed me back - a pair of headers generally runs $300 plus shipping for inside-and-outside sterling coating.

I know a couple people that have JHC downpipes, they all love it, no complaints. Swain Tech does good coatings also.

The Jet-Hot coating on my SS Headers started cracking/peeling after 2 weeks, and I'm running rich. (cold)

I like Swain.

Here is a pic of a ported Evo mani with Swain:

I have seen this first hand - and felt the heat (or lack there of). Really makes a difference in the engine bay. That should be the same of whatever application its used in.

I had the FLP longtube headers of my ex '98 Pontiac WS6 Formula coated with JetHot. They were on the car for a couple years while I owned it and in that time I had no problems - it dulled slightly over time, but other than that no issues. It does look sharp though, personally I say go for it.

You most definitely want to get the headers coated. Header wrap would cut down on heat but keep moisture in, which in turn will rust your headers out.

I'll assume that you have a 4th Generation Camaro.....temperatures get extremely hot under the hood.....to the point the headers WILL glow red.
