As far as performance, not even close, the EVO is the better car in all performance categories compared to the G35 Coupe. Like what was just mention, the two cars are different classes. The G35 Coupe is geared toward luxury, but also happends to be pretty fast. Better comparisons, as far as luxury/performance goes, would have the G35 Coupe pitted against the BMW 330I or the Acura CL Type S.

I happen to work at Infiniti and I will give you my opinion:

First things first, I was either going to purchase a g35 coupe or an Evo last year. Eventually i went with AWD and turbo. First all the Evo and g35 have a completely different driving experience. The Evo is quick, unreal responsive handling, awd, and the turbo which lets you feel the back of your seat when it kicks in. The g35 might feel heavy, but its still quick on its feet, you get all the luxury, great handling, chick magnet, and the power is always there.

The g35 has the best value in terms of luxury sports car. Test driving the car at a dealership when the car is not broken in, doesnt' give you the full experience, you should test drive one that IS broken in, you guys will be suprised how powerful it is. I think its a great car, and on most days i wonder how it would be like to have gotten the g35 instead. Well for now i get to drive it on most days at work, so i got no complaints. My manager keeps trying to get me to lease one and/or trade-in my car

No other sports coupe can even touch it for the same price range, i think you get a lot for the car, and i'm suprised there is not more out on the road. The car looks anything but cars you see on the road, its completely on a class of its own. I absolutely love the exhaust sound that comes out of its dual tip. If i could i want my Evo to sound like that.

The Evo and g35 both are still on top of my list, since i own an Evo, i always dream of owning a g35. I love the g35, if i won money from lottery or something, no doubt in my mind I will purchase a 6M coupe which come with those gold brembos and gotta have that aero kit with the front lip. Just to let you guys know, if the 2005 g35 doesn't hit 300hp, i am sure is damming close.

Overall if you don't get an Evo, get a g35! And please besides really sport-enthusiastic drivers, please don't get a 350Z, it can't compare with the G. If you want a 350z, just look at all those for sale on autotrader, get a used one and play with it, you'll eventually get bored.

I agree two totley different the EVO is a real race car with a lot of history in rallying and has several world titles. The G is all luxery with not mutch aftermarket mods for the motor avaliable. I think the G makes a better dailey driver if you like comfort and the EVO if you want to have fun....Guess which one I have...

The G35 and Evo are two completely different cars. I have an Evo and my dad has a 6SPD G35 with the Brembo package. Both cars are tons of fun to drive. Of course the G35 is more luxurious and comfortable, but the Evo gets a 10 for the fun to drive factor while I would give the G35 an 8.5.

Evo- fun to drive, powerful, can fit 4 people comfortably, faster, lighter, what I would call my “weekend/track car.”

G35- comfortable, tourquey, backseats are cramped, beautiful exhaust tone, heavier, practical, what I would call my “daily driver”

Both cars are great with their pros and cons. If I had to pick inbetween them, I would get the Evo, but then again I am just a 16 year old kid and I might have different opinions on cars than you.

Ive raced a G35 when my Evo was stock. That thing is fast on the highway. The guy driving was able to put some distance between us top end. I think those cars are great.
