ok now the deciding factor for everyone. my salesman last night, offerd top of the line maxima o4 everything possible msrp $33500. i said 27K and the manager actually said yes.
might be because they were closing in 15 minutes, but my son got cranky so we left. the offer still stands. do you guys think most bang for that price?

rear drive wouldn't be an option since i live in the windy city and it snows like a beast during winter.

I know all about snowy winters since I have lived in Colorado, Wisconsin, and upstate New York. A friend over here drives a G35 Sedan and the combined snow tires and traction control and he has no problems driving in the snow.

27k for a new Maxima is nice, I'm just not a fan of how huge they are, nor the looks. I mean it looks nice, but not nice enough for my to buy it over a G35. You can pick up a used IS300 for 25k or even less, and it comes with traction control as well. A used G35 sedan would run around 25k. If I were you I would drive all the aforementioned vehicles, see which one you like the best, and go from there. See if you can get a better car for less than the 27k, and if you're sold on the Maxima, see if you can get the dealer to go even less.

For 27k I'd take the new Subaru Legact 2.5GT Limited (if you're into leather and all). That's a much hotter car than the Maxima. I prefer the non-limited model.

Why not he G35x? The G35 is awesome, plus AWD.

As much as I like Maximas, look at the Acura TL. If that's too expensive, Acura TSX or Mazda 6. If you don't mind an automatic, Chrysler 300.

I'd really consider the Subaru Legacy 2.5GT, as others have mentioned.

I say Acura TL. One of my co-workers just got one and has all the hook ups to his blue tooth headset. Well, I guess that's not a good reason to buy the car, but it has a lot of good attributes.

well looked at the acura tl and loved it. they have an upgraded version called a-spec. has bigger wheels, better suspension, and body kit. about 3k upgrade.

since you drove the evo, u should know how it's like driving an awd car.
i would eliminate all fwd cars. yes~ the maxima, tsx,tl, they're all nice.
but awd = all weather plus handling. i would look at the g35x, audi quattro line up or new subaru legacy. i got a friend workin at a volvo as a tech and from what i heard, i would not get a volvo. i work at a nissan dealership by the way and all recent nissans are not that realible.

well everyone, i bought maxima. it's funny how an evo can be just as much as a luxury car with no options but a sunroof and spoiler. but, i'll tell you this. it is so friggin hard to love another car than an evo. plain and simple. hopefully one day, yeah right probably when there's an evo 10, lol. you guys were a great help in helping decide and this is was conclusion. just love your car just as much as i did cuz it could be gone in a blink of an eye. see ya.
