i think it's cool. it'd look better if it had some kind of clearcoat (that satin style) on it...

also, if they didn'tw ant to attract attention, this is not the way to do it.

I haven't read the article yet but if they haven't done the door jams, inside the hood and stuff like that, the car must look terrible when anything is opened up. I'm not much of a flat paint fan, but I do like the dark grey look.

considering the luck with my lancer, i love the idea of when you see a new scratch, you just buy a can of paint and spray on over it.

won't get many chicks with that paint, that's for sure. girls are inevitably drawn to all that is high maintenence.

I bet it only looks good in nice magazine pic's. If I saw it on the street, not in SCC, I bet it would be pretty silly looking, almost like it was just primered and not painted.

They painted the door jambs, you can tell in one of the pictures in the mag (they also mentioned removing interior trim), but no mention about the engine bay.

I've seen some pretty horrible graphics on evolutions, but the fact still remains that it is an evolution. You still respect the car for what it is.
The STi is no different. If it was mine I couldn't wait to put a paint job on it, but if I saw it on the street I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off of it.

I like it. It's different. The scanned pics don't do it justice. It looks better in the real mag pics and probably even better than that in real life. There's someone doing a 1G Eclipse build-up around here (a very serious buildup) that has done something similar, if not the same. It looks very good in person. Not flashy, but good.

I think it looks kickass! Though I wouldnt do it to my evo...(though it might improve the paint quality ) I just wonder...how long would that paint last? And cleaning it? I dont wanna think about it. I wonder how I would look if it had a clear coat on it?
